Your website is your restaurant’s greatest marketing tool.
It shouldn’t be ignored
Custom Squarespace web design for restaurants, bars, and cafés who want to stand out online.
Even if you have what you think is a functional website for your restaurant, it all means nothing if it’s not designed with your customers needs and desires in mind.
I get it. You’re busy. You live and breathe the restaurant industry. Between the late nights, cranky servers, and a temperamental BOH, you’ve probably put your restaurant’s website on the back burner. But…
your restaurant is your life
Not having a website designed specifically for your restaurant, bar, or café with your customers needs in mind, you’re missing out on reservations, traffic, and growth.
Relying heavily on social media can backfire at any moment and you can lose access to your customer base and communication with them.
Even if your restaurant does have a website, was it designed by someone who knows the industry, the needs of your restaurant, and what guests are actually looking for, and how to show up in online searches?
Is your website mobile friendly and easy to access on phones and tablets?
The most expensive marketing mistake you’re making for your restaurant is NOT investing in your website.
Your website is your greatest marketing tool. It’s your online store front.
Most guests visit your website before they ever step foot in your restaurant, bar, or café.
85% of diners look for your menu online before deciding on your restaurant. They don’t want to call to make a reservation. They want to book online.
Are they finding what they’re looking for?
Over 80% of potential guests say that they won’t revisit an unprofessional, poorly designed website*.
You might as well be throwing your hard earned money in the dumpster out back and setting it on fire.
You need someone who not only knows the restaurant industry like the back of their hand, but knows the right way to design websites for restaurants.
I’m Rachael
I CREATE STRATEGIC SQUARESPACE WEBSITES for restaurants that want to stand out online.
I was 15 when I got my first job in the restaurant industry at a diner in my tiny hometown. I knew absolutely nothing. On my first day I bussed a table and the customer didn’t touch the canned green beans that was served in a side dish. I remember asking the owner if we should keep them because he didn’t touch them. Oh, the embarrassment when my boss laughed at me. It still haunts me to this day.
That was the beginning of a life long adventure in the industry. I worked my way up to fine dining, great wine, and food. In the early days I worked in a place called The Feed Lot where patrons threw peanut shells on the floor to working under a James Beard award winning chef. I’ve done it all with the stories to go with it.
I’ve bartended, served, and managed. I even got to spend time with Doug Frost when he worked out of the basement of the restaurant I was working for at the time. I got to pick his brain about wine and he was always so gracious. And boy, does that man know wine. I got my first level sommelier certification under him in St Louis.
Serving put me through school and helped me raise my son. And nothing makes you tougher than an angry chef screaming in your face about what an idiot you are when there are too many mods on one ticket.
I went to school for art and design and about 10 years ago I started building websites on the side. After about 20 years and once my legs decided it was time to hang up the apron, I knew I wanted to design websites for restaurants due to the fact that guests were always frustrated with the restaurant’s website I was working for at the time.
I know what it takes to run and own a restaurant. The passion, patience, and drive to keep it alive and thriving. No one, but someone, who’s lived and breathed the industry knows what your restaurant really needs to thrive online. I would love to help you keep your dream alive.
I live in a tiny, magical little town located in beautiful Southeast Idaho near Pocatello and Idaho Falls with my awesome husband who puts up with all of my weird quirks. In my spare time you can find me painting, gardening, birding, baking bread, skiing, collecting rocks and shiny things, obsessing about dinosaurs, or od’ing on coffee.
